David Betances just finished filming some of my READINGS. They are a good resource when I'm asked to be on a TV show, etc.
He's a hell of a director and just as good of a photographer, which says a lot. He did all the shots for The Malena Collection, as well as headshots and character shots for a show I'm working on.
I've been doing all the photos for the The Malena Collection and getting all the departments together. Bath and Body, Clothing, and Jewelry. Kitty Cat Mihos and I have designed some unique pieces to compliment the clothing.
A trainer at Dr. Spagnoli's Trillium Sports Medicine, Kristina, is teaching me how to box and helping me model my fancy pants laced up leather. We've been having a blast.
Kimberly Butler, the woman I want to be when I "grow up" said we have a few weeks until the video is finished. I asked her about my mermaid moves and the "melons floating in the bay" shots. She said it looks really good. (Hey I was in a tail and shells.) Yeah. It was a trip for Ms. Molly Modest here.
I have a lot going on right now. I'll share with you some of the footage when the big dogs give the OK and you can always stay connected with what I'm doing on my blog.

Everything is happening at once. My fashion line, The Malena Collection is coming out around Halloween. I have been working on this project for two years and I'm so happy to get my first samples. AND... I have been hired to design the costumes for a new show on Spike TV. Who woulda thought I'd be designing a men's spandex line? Haa. Maybe I'll throw in a few corsets just to scare them! I can hear it now, "Hey Bob, how do I get out of this thing?" "I don't know Jim, let me get a blow torch and some wire cutters"
I just finished filming two new film projects. Both have to do with the paranormal. I'm impatiently waiting to see the finished product. That's the hard part of being an actress/writer/medium/designer. You have to, as Hollywood says, " Hurry up and Wait!". So, check out the links and I'll keep you posted on my blog.

I found a great way to show the rest of my video clips...YOUTUBE. Like everyone else, I have been prompted by the rock gods to get my butt on there. So, here's the url of my YOUTUBE Page There you will find all sorts of fun, dorky things such as Movie Clips, 13 Nights of Fright footage and a few Psychic Interviews and Readings as well.
I also have a MYSPACE site, thanks to my music producer, Chris Ewen. I still ask myself why ONE site isn't enough, but alas we live in the age of techno-geeks...and yes, I am one of them!

Some time in January 200000 ah, 7!
Miles and I did a lot of traveling over the holidays. We were once again reminded, it is the family, not the gifts that make the holidays so wonderful. We all vow to buy less the next year. It never works.
Work wise, I am getting ready to shoot some music videos in April. Chris Ewen has put an album together called, The Hidden Variable. I will be the "lead singer". That sounds so important doesn't it? NO! It sounds scary, read on... I felt the "big shoes to fill" syndrome fast when I got the list of authors whose songs I'd be singing. People like... Limony Snickett, Neil Gaiman, Gregory Maguire, Poppy Z. Bright, Caitlin Kiernan, Martha Soukup, Emma Bull, Harvey Jacobs, China Mie’Ville, Peter Straub and Charles De Lint. (I hope I am remembering everyone.) This album was grand fun, every step of the way. And now I get to play a bond chic, a killer, a fairy, and all sorts of characters in these videos. We are all very excited. I've been working out like a fiend and taking loads of supplements to be camera ready. Leather clad can only look good one way you know! Svelte!
Alter Ego and I are on the move!
I am working more than ever on these couture outfits. Both modeling and designing. With my upcoming line, I want leather to be classy. I want women to wear my outfits and NOT have people think they have a part time job as a dominatrix. Fine if you do, but you should have the option of being classy OR viscously sexy. You all know I wear what I want, regardless of what people think. As my friend Dale says, "Honey, they don't pay your bills!" So there will be a little something for everyone in the Malena Collection.
I know I've been saying the line will come out very soon. At this point, I will say, we're working on it. Karolyn is making all the patterns and going nuts with work. She's the owner of AE. That girl should work for a video game co. and have layouts of her fantasy divas in "Girls of Gaming". I'm telling you my wardrobe is set for the rest of my life and my daughter's life and...well you get the picture.
Other than that, I have a script I'm working on, etc, etc. I'm taking a dance class ( for the videos).On the home front, Miles has been asked to illustrate a sequel to "Demon Hunter's Handbook" about Vampires, so you know I'll be "musing away" on that. I made a muslin gown for one of the paintings.

November 14, 2006 Halloween is finally over. What a holiday it was! The Hollywood Film Festival Party was a blast. I'd like to thank John Hudgens, the director of American Scary, for inviting me. (He's the sweet one in the glasses)
I just finished doing a shoot for Alter Ego Corsets. I gotta say, short skirts are not for me. Give me a full length gown and I'm happy. I felt like George W. at a World Peace Conference...dirty! Alter Ego has some really cool stuff this season. Here's the evidence.
We had a good time and the photos turned out better than I thought! Where's Helmut Newton when you need him? Now things have settled down a bit, I am going to work on my book. Speaking of books, Miles illustrated a book called "The Demon Hunter's Handbook". It's selling out at Barnes and Noble so, if you want one order it fast! I posed for some of the artwork. I was an succubus, a harpie, and well... just get the book and you'll find out! I love him for that!

October 1, 2006 Halloween is just around the corner! My favorite time of year. My calendar is filling up fast. Here's what's goin on in LA so far...
Taylor White throws the BEST parties. He owned Creature Features in Burbank and now owns a private gallery. If you like creatures,horror films, and Nocturnal Divas, you must come..and bring your pocket book! The art in the show IS for sale, including some MILES TEVES originals. This little get together starts on October 14th. Go to Creature Features for more information. Nocturna is ready for purchase, if you dare. I begged Miles to let me show you one of the pieces he's selling. (I can be very persuasive!) So, here it is....
I guess I don't need to mention how I feel about the painting!
Then..... on October 21st, we have the American Scary Documentary at the LA Film Festival. It's being shows at the Arch Light Theatre. 6360 W Sunset Blvd (between Vine and Ivar, with DeLongpre to the south) Los Angeles, CA. The screening starts at 9:00 pm. So, all you Neil Gaiman fans better be there! And yes, there will be little clips of me in there too.
I'll be taking photos of the after show party.
I've also heard about the FX party being held at Gotham, but no details yet. They usually wait till the last minute, but I'll keep you posted on my BLOG. That's the party where all the art department people work ALL year on these fabulous costumes. Uncle Moldy hosted the party last year and let me tell ya, it was "hillarious" fun.
Of course, I will be wearing one of my new Alter Ego dresses in addition to my scary new vampire teeth made by Chris Gallaher.
I always want to wear a "real costume", but where else will I have the opportunity to wear all these cool leather outfits, other than at home making cookies for the fam? At this Playboy Charity Event I went to last night, this little man asked me, "So is this Morticia character what you always play on TV?" and I said, "No, only in real life." He didn't quite know what to do. And I almost wore my new teeth. To bad I didn't, but the month is young! Hee heeee!

June 19, 2006 Today is my birthday. I'm getting ready to get on the road again. First to Boston to record an album with Chris Ewen, then to Minneapolis for Convergence. Miles is the guest of honor this year. I think it's safe to say I'm still his biggest fan. This summer has been a blast so far. Lots of traveling and cool projects. Fabulous Lorraine and I rocked Balticon. The fans were so great. I just loved meeting everyone.
My Magic 101 lecture was scheduled for 12 midnight! How perfect is that? (Thanks to Nora the Con chair. That's her in the black outfit) Loved it! Everyone was wearing Alter Ego. Yeah baby. Who doesn't look good in a corset? Check out the Balticon photos here. I had a nasty flu, but I got my butt up and rocked the house anyway. My favorite song was, I'm Your Man. (Leonard Cohen) Who doesn't love Mr. Cohen? It was the one time my voice sounded ever sexier due to my cold...or at least that's what I'm telling myself. Hee heee! "Balticon is coming up!" Yes, it's May 26-29, 2006! Lorraine a' Malena is the musical guest of honor this year. Hot shot-rock star guests of honor include: Neil Gaiman, Gene Wolfe, Lisa Snellings-Clark, and Peter S. Beagles (He wrote The Last Unicorn). Nora, the CON diva has asked LaM to judge the masquerade. Hhhmm. That's right up my alley! We're having a grand time planning. Cat Mihos, our tour manager, is getting some fabulous merchandise ready for the upcoming concerts. I will be selling some things HERE on my website as well. Such as....Nocturna T-shirts and undies. I've gotten lots of requests for Miles Teves wearable art lately, and thanks to Darrell Bowen at "Rocket Fist", it will all happen! NO sadly, we will not be selling custom batman suits. (Hey, people HAVE asked)
Next up on the Calendar is CONvergence, July 7-9 ,2006. Miles and I will be going together since HE is a guest of honor too. I'm starting to feel honored! WOW hee hee.
Lorraine and I are working on our new album. Chris Ewan of "Future Bible Heroes" is producing. Yeah! His music reminds me of the basic Instinct soundtrack and Vangelis mixed together. LOVE IT! Neil Gaiman will be giving us MORE haunted, undead, romantic lyrics. I'd consider that a BIG bonus. "Go to my band's site for more details and insane rantings."
Karolyn at Alter Ego and I are working hard on the Malena Collection. By Summer 06', we will have a few pieces for purchase. Karolyn gently reminded me to make the designs a little less "Nocturna couture" and a little more "Prete-a-porte". We want people to be able to wear them OUT of the house as well as in the bedroom. Hee hee. I'm working on designing pieces for every budget and every size. After all, girls RULE THE WORLD you know!
Cat, my tour manager is working on a movie called, War in Heaven. It tells the creation story with dagger-like precision. Answering questions that many of us were kicked out of Sunday School for asking. It will be a rock star studded cast including....ME as Jehovah. Yes, that's right ladies and gentleman. I will be playing God. How does one prepare for such a role? Pray? Yes, that's definitely on my list. I'll give old George Burns a run for his money! Oh, I forgot...he's dead. Mwwwwwwwwauuu ha ha haaaaa! I'll keep you posted on the movie stuff as it comes. I doubt I'll get asked to play a suburban housewife anytime soon. Jehovah, Queen of the Damned, Betty Page, Wonder Woman..YES! Housewife? No! Too close to real life I guess. (In all my Miles' sweatpants wearing splendor)

How time flies! Our CD is out an doing well. Now, it's back to readings and potions for this Hearth Witchy. Alter Ego and I are planning a Malena Collection. It will be filled with costumes, high fashion corsets and sexy catsuits for the brave and daring. I'm having a blast designing. I've even gotten Miles involved. He has designed a few gowns. Today was a blessed day. I got to work with Hans King. He is my favorite Spiritual Medium. It doesn't get any better than wearing my favorite evening gown while filming a TV show with my spiritual IDOL. He even looks like an angel. I could tell he was connected by the tranquility in his eyes. Yeah, I acted like a fan. I admit it. I could rant about this for hours. By the way, I WILL be updating the site soon. Many of you have asked questions about candles lately. I will address every email, it just takes a while. I get over 100 emails a week sometimes. Remember, God is within you. You are NEVER separate from the universal energy we call GOD. If you don't believe me, watch caterpillar turn into a butterfly. Evolutionists still can't explain that one. Dream. Dream for a better tomorrow...and together we WILL make it happen.

Fabulous Lorraine and I are working hard on our new album. For now, it's called Mirror, Mirror. Check out our website. "Lorraine and Malena's haunted website" Neil Gaiman is writing some news songs for us and Miles Teves is doing the CD art. With heavy weight talents like that, how can we go wrong? We're also doing a sexy version of Tom Waits, "Tango Till Their Sore". I'm hoping we'll do a music video on that song so Fabulous L. and I can dress up like gansters and sashay around in corsets. I'm practicing the Violin Lorraine gave me, although I can't set it on fire like she can.
On the psychic front, I'd like the thank to brilliant Dr. Eric Davis for sending me his report on "Psychic Teleportation". You have to be a rocket scientist to understand his work but I've enjoyed skimming through it. Who knows, maybe after reading it for the 5th time, I'll teleport myself into his office! Thanks Eric! I look forward to meeting you in Vegas to discuss the paranormal. You're a God Sent! Dr. Eric Davis told me the site where much paranormal activity goes on is right by my home town. Small world Maybe that's the reason I am such a weirdo. Hmmmmmmm. All this studying reminds me how ignorant we REALLY are on this planet. Hmmm. What else... Oh, Mr. Miles Teves is finishing up his Darkness Scupture for Side Show. It's life size! You know we'll have one in our front room. The neighbors already think we're satanists, but what could be further from the truth? Miles is also working on his art book that will be out in 2006. John Howe just sent us his art book that's published by the same people. If you love the Lord of the Rings, you must get this book! Miles is also working on another Nocturna painting for Specturm 12. I hope all of you had a wonderful Holiday season. Miles and I went to San Francisco and are just getting back. Thanks to all the fans who came out to see Miles and I at for the Spectrum 11 signing. You can see Miles'new Nocturna painting on page 184. I had a good time posing for Miles. He always makes me look so good. Anytime I start missing him, I just look at Nocturna hanging above our bed and I know he loves me. Thanks Mr. Gorgeous! You can buy your copy of Spectrum 11 at Barnes and Noble, or on their website. I've been doing a lot of writing lately. I have a spiritual advise column in the L.A. Daily News magazine, TODAY. This months article is called "Heavy Weight Heart" It focuses on body image and why we gain weight. If you live in the LA area, look for it in the middle of your newspaper.
I've also got a speaking engagement coming up. I will be talking about my Psychic Makeover at the "Conscious Life Expo"
My lecture starts at 8 pm on Sunday February 13th. There will be a dance party after so plan to stay and dance with ME!
On the music front, I have some EXCITING news. Fabulous Lorraine, Neil Gaiman's (Real Life) undead goth assistant and I will be doing a CD together this summer! Lorraine emailed me for a reading a few months after 13 Nights of Fright. Of course, we clicked right away. That man's got vision, but the world knows that at this point. This CD is a must for all you goth divas and Ren Faire fans. Fabulous Lorraine is quite a musical legend in Goth Folk. Actually, I think she invented it. She and Emma Bull made the Band "The Flash Girls" and have three CD's together. Then Lorraine moved on to her current band, "Folk Underground". Lorraine is an amazing violinist/vocalist. She lights her violin on fire with fierce notes I never knew were possible to play. Hopefully my violin skills will be up to par by March so I can fiddle a little. I haven't played for years, but playing an instrument is like making love...you never forget it just takes practice and the more you do it the better it feels. So far, I've been doing Goth versions of Twinkle Twinkle. And just when things couldn't get any better, Neil Gaiman's writing the lyrics. Now he'll have two goth vamps in his house howling at the moon. Obviously I am very excited. Our first recording session is in April

You know, it's really hard to know what to put on here sometimes. I get questions about everything from what brand my dresses are to how to contact the dead. So, I guess you'll get both sides of Malena. Just disregard what you don't like, how's that? Here's snap shot of me on the way out the door to a TV gig. (No, I can't tell you what show it is yet. Pooper Ah?) Look at the little pink energy below my "hip". I've had a lot of these show up in pictures lately. Here's the cool part: I've asked quite a few experts and they said it wasn't the camera. Wehooo! Chalk one up in the paranormal department huh? Funn stuff.
Many people have sent in questions to me this month. I will answer as many as I can. To see if I've replied to your question, check the Web Journal page from now on. I can write in more detail that way. I've had quite a few clients ask me how to manifest a better future. So after much prayer, here it is: In order to create a positive future, you have to finish what is in the present. If you constantly put your energy in the future by worrying and procrastinating, you will mess it up! Worrying does nothing but send out fear. Fear, as previously mentioned is False Education Appearing Real. You get what you send out. Imagine you are looking in the mirror. What you see is a refection of yourself. Your reality is a reflection of what you believe. Your thoughts have power. Everything in your life is there because of something you feel, you believe in, or an experience you had that you put power into. Each moment in the present makes the future what it is. So clean out your life and finish what you started. -That way you can make room for your desires! Everyone deserves to have a prosperous and fulfilling life.
You know,I do love my job. I take it very seriously. Well, the spiritual stuff anyway. Wink! Wink! On an average day I do at least five readings. 10-19-04 Well, 13 Nights of Fright has begun! Wehoooooooo. I watched the first episode tonight. I looked rather curvy to say the least. My chest looked like it would fall out of that leather corset at any moment. Eat your heart out Elvira! Ha just kidding. I'd like to thank everyone for the great emails. I feel loved! If you have an urgent need for a reading, let me know and I'll do my best to fit you in. There's a lot of magic going on in this house! Miles conjures up the spirits for his artwork and I speak to them when he's done painting. We're a good team. It's raining like there's no tomorrow here in L.A. The first rain of the season is a good time to clean out the negativity in your head. Take a look at what isn't working in your life and focus on bigger and better things...like your halloween costume! 9-18-04 It looks like I'll be writing a monthly magazine column soon. I look forward to that. Please remember when watching TV, there is a difference between entertaining and giving SERIOUSLY personal information! Most people want privacy when discussing past traumas. That's what one on one readings are for. There is a place and a time for everything. I used to worry that people wouldn't believe I was an intuitive because of the way I looked. I thought I'd have to wait until I was 80 to make a difference, then I moved to Hollywierd. Here, "psychics" are a permanent part of the culture. I have to stop for a moment and say thank you to some strong AND successful intuitives! John Edward started the Psychic Show trend with his brash New Yawk attitude. And thank GOD he did! Sometimes what I get makes no sense to the client AT THAT TIME. It may take months for the event I spoke of to surface. I have to trust my gut! I learned this from Sylvia Brown. In front of thousands of people they maintain control, entertain, and still get angelic guidance! TV is a wonderful place to make a global impact, and I plan to do just that!

So much has happened since my last journal entry. IN magazine has chosen me to be on the cover for their L.A. Film Festival Edition. How Exciting!
I am still doing readings when I have time. My custom essential oils blends are selling like crazy. Be sure to book an appointment with me ahead of time and let me know what your needs are. I'll try to fit you in ASAP. What I have learned from my intuition lately is, "Life will give you what you focus on." Take a moment and review what you give your energy to. Are you focusing on the positive? The universe can only give you what you belive you can have. Changes start with a thought, then an action, then a repeated pattern. It takes me about a month to change a behavior or thought pattern. Because I am in the public eye, I have to keep my weight down. I can always tell when I am dwelling on the negative because it shows on my thighs! The "what's the use" mentality can sabatoge you QUICK. By remembering our worth as souls, we remind ourselves what we can accomplish...ANYTHING! There are no limits. Like attracts like. To manifest something you need, start to visualise the experience. See in your mind's eye a positive outcome. By doing this, you will attract like minded people who will help you achieve you goals. Anything is possible.

I'm interviewing for another TV show today. Everyone is catching on to the psychic show idea. We will have more enlightening TV shows to choose from soon. Wehooo! There are a lot of young people who don't feel they have a voice in the media. I plan to change that obviously! The reason I like doing TV shows and magazines is it gives me a chance to enlighten and entertain people at the same time. It is hard living in 2004 with the world changing so much. Remember to celebrate your idividuality!Imagine if we had 20 Rush Limbaghs out there, Or twenty Malenas for that matter. (There would instantly be a world wide shortage of corsets and patchouli!) No two people are alike, thank GOD.
I have a lot of work to do. I'll keep you posted on what's happening. Remember, the world is yours. Go beyond what you believe and miracles will happen in your life!

I'd like to thank everyone at Painless Productions and FOX for a great time. I just finished shooting "13 nights of Fright with Neil Gaiman" for FOX movie channel. This Halloween Horror movie marathon is sure to get your blood pumping! I was cast as the "Silent Goth Assistant" The only hard part was keeping my mouth shut. Haaaaaa! I am a rather animated character as you will see. The "13 Nights of Fright" was an excuse for me to wear all my flaming outfits I couldn't wear anywhere else. My character was very sexy and over the top. I was sucking in my gut, girls! Believe me! All of you know how I love Halloween. I'm the Goth Betty Crocker remember? How could I complain about taking pictures in a COFFIN? I've always wanted to do that. Those coffins are comfy. I am re-thinking cremation now I'll have you know! I could have fallen asleep in that thing!
The set looked like a larger version of MY house, so I felt right at home. Here's a picture from the shoot. I was honored to work with Neil Gaiman. He was very down to earth. I could have listened to him talk forever. Truely talented people don't have huge egos. They know how good they are and don't advertise it to the world. How refreshing!
I've been busy with magazine interviews lately. I am on the cover of IN magazine this month. I also have articles in Complete Woman, Ms. Fitness, and Fitness magazine coming out this summer.

What's new with me? Hmmm. Well, after doing the Golden Globe Fashion predictions for a TV station, I was asked to do a radio interview on FM 104.9 back East to predict the winners of the Oscars. I sat and wondered how I would predict such an event. I almost felt blasphemous praying to get information about the Golden Globes or the Oscars. But, I am always open to my intuition, so I accepted the job and knew I would do the best I could. I usually read health issues, soul mates, dead relatives, that sort of thing. So, even as a psychic, I wondered if one could read votes and see the end result correctly. I just sat down and started to pray. I asked that I would be able to somehow read into the energies of these films and the people behind them. Within about 15 minutes, I started feeling who would get what. It was odd. I was only getting information about a few people in each category. The first people I saw were Sean Penn and Charlize Theron. Although I had thoughts on Ben Kingsley and Johnny Depp, my gut was on Penn. I live my life with that "gut feeling" so, the best actor was in the bag. Good. I was starting to relax. Things were moving quickly, but I did wonder what amount of my inspirations were my personal favorites and what was psychic information. This was the Oscars you know!
For best actress, I KNEW Charlize Theron would win. I even said, when leaving the theatre, "She'd better win an award for this, damn it!" I also thought of Keisha Castle Hughes. She won our hearts and a nomination at what, 13? WOW!
I also knew "Lord of the Rings" would clean up! They worked very VERY hard, and they deserve it. Congratulations Richard and Gino!
Now for animated film, I didn't have to be psychic to know "Finding Nemo" would take the cake! We know this!
Unfortunately, I did get Supporting Actor and Actress wrong. I'm human, what can I say? Well, I don't need to tell you what I saw in every category. I know we all have things to do and people to see. I did get about 80% of the predictions right. It was fun, and I gave it my all.
As for future articles, I have an interview in Ms. Fitness coming up where we will be talking about the "Psychic Diet"
(My plan that helps you reprogram your mind to get those curves bumpen'!).
